The Axis Powers

The first partnership of Japan and Germany was initiated with the signing of the Tripartite Pact in September 1940, creating the infamous Axis Powers.  If you were to flash forward sixty years from that point, cross over an ocean, and make your way to the inaugural SouthrnFresh Meet, you would have stumbled upon another great meeting of these two nations.

These two gentleman, Russ with the Jetta and Futbol with the Accord Wagon, have taken nearly identical approaches to their cars, yet both possess their own unique presence.  It should surprise no one that the two men are great friends.

Both vehicles have been slammed to ground (static!), fitted with classic BBS RS’s, and had their engine bays tidied up by their respective owners.

We don’t need our history books to know that the original Axis Powers were (thankfully) defeated in 1945.  These two cars, however different they may appear, come together to create a synergy that exudes classic style.  By combining the best looks from around the world, these Axis Powers cement the South as a force to be reckoned with in today’s automotive scene.
