Having just moved to North Carolina from Tennessee I had only heard about SWD once or twice and never really saw much coverage on them so I was not sure what to expect. The event was about a hour 1/2 from my house and hearing it was a parking lot event I didn’t really have my hopes high for the trip.
Walking out of the hanger and straight onto the track I got to work, but thanks to my carlessness I formatted the mornings pictures off my sd card! Disappointed I kept shooting, posting up just feet away from a clipping point. This is the closest I have ever shot to a drift car and man was it awesome,.also made for some killer photo opportunities. Props to Brian and the swd guys for giving photographers the freedom to go where they want. Only costing $10 to get in, this is a must see event if you are ever around the area, and there was alot of driving talent present and with names such as “team rowdy” you are sure to get a show.
