Texas Speed Syndicate: Quick 30 High Horsepower Drag Day

Is street racing worth the risk? Is it worth risking having your license suspended, going to jail, having your car impounded, or your life? Texas Speed Syndicate was started so Amar (the founder of TSS) could race without running the risk of losing his ability to practice law. To him risking his ability to continue doing what he loves is not worth illegally racing. He found a different way to go about it that would allow him to race with other 1000+ horsepower cars without worry. Texas Speed Syndicate now hosts the Quick 30 events which is a private drag day in Baytown, TX at Royal Purple Raceway where the max of 30 cars have the ability drag race among each other for the entire day.

Amar’s 9 second big turbo Supra

Even without hooking he still manages a 10.3 pass

D3 Performance Ford Mustang Cobra Jet doing some test passes..

Everyone in Texas will recognize this Hennessy built Ford GT, driven by “Mullet”

Some good old fashioned corvette burnouts

A couple bike riders came out to do some runs, they are always a good group to watch.

This CTS-V Sedan traveled from Dallas to show off its twin turbo power

This isn’t something you usually find at a drag strip at least in Texas, here we usually have smashed up one drifting around parking lots so this was a nice change of pace.

The owner even stayed true to the Nissan family and swapped in a RB26 with a nice side of turbo..

AMS Performance came down to drop off a customer car, one of the first passes from Ivan the AMS driver was a 8.1X at some ridiculous trap speed. The customer went out on his first pass and ran a 8.6X so get to see more of this car later in the year..

One of my personal favorite cars out at the event was this 5th gen Camaro, It just looked very at home at the track and put up some good numbers..

Squat City..

Dynosaur Performance Supra came out to do some passes running consistent 8’s throughout the day..

All Business..

One of the many High Hp cars hanging out in the parking lot..

Really wished I could see this car run down the strip, but there is always next time..

Nice Supercharged Dodge Viper waiting in between runs sitting on a set of Forgeline wheels..
