TX2K14: Day One

We are going to try to bring daily updates of TX2k14 to you as we attend this huge event.  So we will be having late night quick posts to keep you entertained on what is going down in Texas.  These posts will lead up to our complete coverage of the event.  We will also be posting on our instagram account – @southrnfresh.

Of course, our morning, as usual, started off with picking up the team “troll” and photographer, Jason. It did, however, take him about 4 hours to get out of bed while Josh and I were waiting on his driveway. At least we still had time for Chick Fil A breakfast, though ;).

We got a little closer to the track we started to see some signs that we were getting closer to the action.

Every year this event grows more and more, this year we waited about 30 minutes before we hit the gates.

We finally arrived inside the sounds and smells of speed were all around  us.

Gallardos are the choice of weapon for many.

Those were just the few sightings from this gorgeous day at the track.

Love the license plate.

Name that car & I’ll give you a high five.

The famous couple gazing at racecars going 146mph.

After the race track, we headed back to Houston to grub and hit up the host hotel, Marriott. The parking lot did not disappoint!

One of the many Top Speed Motorsport cars from Atlanta.

Supras will never get old. Who’s ready for the FT-1?

Jason using his famous potato. And all of a sudden….out in the wild…….we ran into this little gem below!

The one and only LSX  Willy’s Jeep.  How freaking cool is this thing?

Chris Anderson’s RX7 recently featured on the site last year during TX2k13

Breakin’ necks as usual. NBD.

My girl, Karissa, showin’ everyone how it’s done. Girl built & most definitely girl driven.

A wild BRZ appeared!

& the infamous “Bane” is out looking for prey.

Well, that wraps it up for the day. Tune back in tomorrow night for day two of TX2K14!
