Import Alliance Fall 2014: Homecoming Nashville, Tennessee
Last weekend we took a trip up to Import Alliance Fall meet. This event is generally held at LP Field in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. But the IA team changed it up and had it held about 10 miles outside of the city. A lot of people questioned the whole idea of IA being in a abandoned mall parking lot, but being able to find a place willing to put up with this crowd is a task of its own. My biggest concern with a new venue for IA is organization so that the team can manage everyone and keep things in order. Overall the event was pretty well organized, the parking and traffic flowed quickly. The team pretty much had every entrance and exit on lock down and kept things moving, so hats off to the team for organization.
The crowd seemed a little thin on Saturday for the usual IA crowd, but Sunday it felt like there were more people in attendance. They had the vendors set up in the shape of a “U” and had planned to fill in that space in the middle with the nicer cars that showed up. As usual the decision to split parking upset some people because of course everyone thinks their car deserves to be in the best spot. The thing is when they just allow everyone and everything park anywhere people complain about not being able to find the quality cars at the event. Personally I think IA did a good job with filtering out as best as they could, I also do not think a parking spot should be priority when going to an event.
We did not make it around all of the parking lots, because we had to alternate time in the booth. So here is just a small piece of what showed up at Import Alliance.

Been seeing this S2000 at some other shows this year. And it was a treat to see it up close and personal. Bradley’s J’s Racing carbon fiber wide body is a work of art.
Rocket Bunny Fr-S on rose gold Ag Wheels, was a eye catcher. As popular as it is we can not blame any FRS/BRZ owner for going with the RB kit, it really transforms the car.

Cory Shifflett’s supercharged F20C EG hatch. One of my personal favorites from IA.
Adam’s Integra will always be a favorite also.
