9tro.com: K.R.C Japan Rx7s

My late night internet browsing led me to the flickr of Antoine Tokar owner and creator of Mazdas247.com.  He is a resident of Japan, and always makes it out to events and captures photos of mostly Mazdas.  I came across these pair of RX7s from the Osaka Automesse back in February, and had to investigate more.  I dug a little deeper and ran across the company K.R.C Japan who created these 2 cars.  KRC Japan started as a design company, and after the earthquake that rocked Japan in 2011 they started KRC Modified, and started building cars with their bold designs.  A lot of their influence comes from Anime , and it shows.  The designs may be a little wild for some, but the end result completely transforms the car to look like its straight out of a Manga movie.  We have been plagued with over fenders and wide body kits for the last few years.  Seeing the Rx7 sculpted like this is really refreshing.

9tro.com did a feature on the 2 cars and the designer (KRC RX7 – Designed from the heart), and they got inside of the head of the designers.  Take some time out and check their site out.  It is full of content.

  • Those are some radical designs. I never really liked any form of body customization done on the FD RX7s. Their original design just flows so well. But holy cow these are really out there.
