Michael Starling’s Jaguar S-Type R

After owning several modified cars like a VW Scirocco, a Merkur XR4Ti, an Alfa Romeo GTV6, and a BMW 540i, Michael Starling was looking for more. As a sports car enthusiast over 6 feet tall, there’s not much out there in terms of comfort, which is why Michael likes sport sedans. While reading on the forums about a M5 owner that had a Jag keep up on the interstate, Michael became curious. After selling his 5-series, he picked up the Jaguar S-Type R you see here.  If you are like me you may have never even knew these existed, most people do not.  We first spotted the car at Fall 2012 Import Alliance, we wanted to get a hold of the owner, and follow the progress of this unique build.   The 4.2L Supercharged v8  makes 460hp with the current modifications.  Mike’s future plans include re-doing the exhaust setup, and possibly a twin screw supercharger to replace the factory supercharger. He has also considered getting new wheels that don’t rub. Oh, and the license plate? It’s Michael’s way of pissing off Mercedes drivers, especially when they can’t keep up!
