New 2012 GT-R
The GT-R gets some serious upgrades this year, exterior and interior. Check out Sam’s brand new 2012 Nissan GT-R.
The 3 year old GT-R was due to be refined a bit from its 1st release in 2009, and as promised by Kazutoshi Mizuno Nissan’s chief designer.
Power was increased to 530hp, by increasing boost from 10lbs to 13lbs, also with the help of some minor changes with the intake pipes, and exhaust system.
Not all brute force was added, Godzilla was also refined to make it a more daily driver friendly. Gas mileage has also improved this year with the GT-R and it has gained a few mpg in highway and city, by lowering the drag of the body lines.
Exterior changes are obvious from the front with the led lights in the front bumper, and vents on the rear bumper, the slight quarter panel arches have been raised and refined a bit also.
Nissan is also providing owners the chance to upgrade their older model GT-R to a 2012 model with a few computer upgrades and performance changes.
Its still hard sometimes to believe that the GT-R is still being sold in the U.S. and has been success in every way. It gives us hope that the pursue of the high performance vehicle is not being abandoned by car manufacturers.
