Southrnfresh 2 Coverage
Once again here we are at year 2, and we have came along way but have always stayed true to our purpose. Which was to create a community for all automotive lovers from all out track monster to a slammer parking lot queen. We never like to categorize ourselves as a certain type of community and have always made it clear there is no type to us, its all the same love. Southrnfresh was created by true enthusiast and is upheld by the true enthusiast. 2 years ago Atlanta was in a critical time, there was no place representing our region the proper way. I personally can say that I feel we just started to create a real community enjoyed by all types of enthusiasts.
If anyone has ever attended any event held by Southrnfresh, they will tell you it is a calm atmosphere with no pressure from your peers, and no judging just a good time. There is never a need to impress anyone here, there is always a common competitive nature with anything. Here its a different type of competitiveness, its what we call motivational constructive competition. That drives us all to make more power, go lower, or try something different. There is not anything that we do at Southrnfresh to make it that way, its just the nature of the South and how we do things here. We never try to compare ourselves to any region because we do things differently down here. Our region is fueled by true enthusiasts who do it for the love.
We all have to thank everyone of you all that view this site, and help make it what it is today. We also have to thank all of our site sponsors who support Southrnfresh so that we can put together events like this for everyone to come out and enjoy. Our sponsors are true sponsors, that support the community we are building here. All of our sponsors have deep roots in the Automotive scene here. So please check all of them out if you get a chance!
And a special thank you to GARAGE ZERO for hosting this event, and opening their doors to all of our viewers.
So without anymore hold up enjoy some of the photos from the festivities of this past weekend. As always you all turned out in numbers with 3 full lots of cars. It all started out smooth early with our typical lot setup that held up last year fine. But as expected we had a much bigger turnout. And with big crowds comes some sort of issue, and around 4pm we had a issue with one of the neighbors and we had to move all of the cars over across the street. But it did not stop the show, and people still rolled in and fit in any little spot they could. Thanks to Mike for holding down the grill once again this year. The DJ for keeping us entertained though out the evening. We must say that we have outgrown our location, which was bound to happen. Next year will be another great event at a whole new location!
First we have a shot of the ying/yang Z cars, fresh out of Garage Zero!
Check out the German line, all representing the mighty STANCEWORKS!
Charlie coming through in his SI, still one of the cleanest FG civics out.
Dwight owner of Karboyz GA, brought his 13B turbo powered Starlet. One of the cleanest Starlets I have seen personally.
Brad’s slammed STI monster, and Lou’s slammed Ek hatch full of boosted D series fury!
If you were at the meet you remember this car, very loud and obnoxious. But overall awesome, Peripheral port 13b Corolla, was one of the crowd favorites.
Kevin’s S15 also was in attendance.
There was a long row of Corollas in attendance also.
Another popular car, Krappy’s 240 came out for a short time.
The event was held at Garage Zero so there will always be a horde of super clean classics..
Rich got a snap of my 626..:) thanks!
