TX2K14: Day Two

Day two was different. When we were driving up to Hennessey, we were expecting a huge line like last year, but to our surprise, there was only about 4 cars in line. Not to mention this was at around 11am. Once we parked and got our gear ready, we started to walk around and check out the cars whose hoods were up so we could see the magical unicorns the teams have created. Once again, less words and more pictures. Here goes!

For those of you who don’t know me, I am a Datsun lover. I am in love with Datsuns (240zs mostly) from every angle. They’re such beautiful and classic cars. The curves on that car just takes my breath away. The 510’s are awesome as well. If y’all were at HIN and Wekfest, the most gorgeous and flawless bluebird was showing and I couldn’t get enough of it. Now, I’ve never seen a Datsun on slicks. I hope to see it run tomorrow! One day I’ll find my Datsun and build my own little toy. My boyfriend, Josh Smylie, can’t help but to yell out “2JZ” every time someone asks me what I want to do with it. Honestly, I can’t deny that I don’t agree!

If y’all haven’t read the weather news for tomorrow, it’s supposed to rain in the morning. I’m not sure how bad and for how long, but expect delays. I know I am. This means sleeping in for me!

Because ‘Merica…or Texas? Either way, I’ll need a 10-foot ladder to get into either one of these trucks.

Yes, this is a stock Impreza and yes, I photographed it. Why? Because this is Josh’s and my new car to add to our JDM car collection. We have a vision for it, so keep an eye out for updates. Also keep an eye out for our other cars in our collection. Who wants to sell me a Datsun 240z?

That’s all for tonight, folks. I haven’t decided if I want to go tomorrow yet. I guess depending on the weather and if they’re even running the track tomorrow or not. Anyways, for those of you who are out here, I hope y’all enjoyed the beautiful weather for the past few days! I hear tomorrow is going to be brutal. I usually don’t believe it until I see it, though. Texas weather is bipolar.
