Import Alliance Summer Coverage 2014
The IA Summer meet is always a well timed meet, this year taking place in July and on the same weekend as our event, SF4. With all of the crew
getting ready for SF4, I was making the trek up from Bowling Green to Sparta, Kentucky. This year’s event was Import Alliance’s 9th summer
meet, and instead of the usual single day meet, it spanned both Saturday and Sunday. Due to a busy work schedule I could only make it up around
noon on Saturday and couldn’t stay for Sunday either. Regardless, I was glad to attend a larger size meet since there are so few in the area.
Whenever I go to a big meet, I always try to check the side parking areas since sometimes there are some hidden gems among the normal daily
drivers.
RB25 powered S14 on display.
On the opposite side of the show, in another one of the excess parking areas, there were a few more cars worth noting.
One of them being this bagged Jetta GLI. I just could not resist getting that reflection shot.
And you can’t forget HondaPro Jason’s “ProjectOrange” supercharged 2014 Honda Civic. The car currently makes 265hp to the wheels. Can’t
wait to see the progression of this car.
After making my way through the lots, I ventured into the vendor area, which seemed like it was getting a lot of foot traffic! I can see why, the cars
in the vendor area were mint.
Ashley’s CRZ went on to win first in best stance.
One of my personal favorites at IA was Jay Hardin’s BMW on Rotiforms.
A familiar sight was Charlan Buenaventura’s FG5! It’s always good to catch up with our friends at SlammedEnuff?, and they almost always bring
some nice cars with them.
Check out Jacob Creamer’s clean SVT Focus on CCWs! This car definitely got a lot of attention throughout the day.
Another one of my personal favorites at the show was Joshua Davis’ RHD 180SX. He was parked over next to the Grip Royal booth. Later on in the
day I was able to get a closer look at the car so stay tuned for that.
There was definitely not a shortage of Subarus at the event.
LacedUp also had a booth at IA, and one of the cars representing them was Wes Henderson’s beauty of a VW MK2. I absolutely love the color on
this car and the color matched BBS Wheels fit it perfectly.
Also representing LacedUp was this G37… Don’t know the owner but shout out to a clean car.
One of the regulars at meets in the area seems to be Cory Stovall, almost always bringing out his immaculate Skyline R32. Not only have we
featured this car before, but it was also in the new F&F movie. Check out the feature here

You just can’t go wrong with a late-model BMW. It’s hard to make these look anything but good.
Talk about a good looking car, Cameron’s 190E looks absolutely gangster.
While a lot of the rides at IA were more aesthetically oriented, there were a few function-oriented builds out there too like this EF.
This Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 was a rare sighting.
Another rare sighting was this Skyline R33. It’s not too often you get the chance to look at one up close.
This Z was doing some major tucking in the rear.
Probably one of my favorite color combos of the day came on this Genesis coupe sitting on VIP Modular wheels.
She said, “It’s my friend’s car, I HAVE to get a picture of it!” Since I was running out of time and rain was slowly approaching, I figured I
try and scout a spot to shoot that 180SX. While doing this, I missed out on seeing a few cars. So once I found a good spot, people were already
starting to head out, not wanting to get rained on. I tried to grab a couple more shots near the end.
Here’s a better look at that KA-T Altima on CCW Wheels.
That concludes our IA Summer 2014 coverage. If we didn’t get your ride, there’s always next time!
