Simply Clean 6 2014 Coverage
This past weekend we finally managed to make it to Simply Clean in Daytona Beach, Florida. We had always heard good things about this event, but it would always creep on us. Up until the week before we did not know if we would make it down. What pushed us to really go was the temperature had dropped to the 30s in Atlanta, so we really had an excuse to escape to Florida for the weekend.
The event was held at Destination Daytona, that is the home to some of the biggest biker events. The facility is made to hold people and is set up perfectly for these types of events. You can actually stay in a hotel on the same grounds as the event. So literally you look out your hotel window and observe the event. There are all sorts of restaurants and shops inside the facility that keep people occupied.
If anyone follows us on our instagram, you know how much we love food. Over Rice Food Truck was out serving Filipino Favorites and Hawaaian BBQ. Highly recommend them if you are in the Orlando area. I wish we could get them to ride up to Atlanta for SF5 this summer.
Vossen brought out a few cars that were parked in the pavilion.
James made the drive from Miami up in his bagged gold chrome wrapped 535 on the new Vossen VLE-1
Feel in love with some of the S13s inside the pavilion.
Another one of my personal favorites.
Civic Type R parked behind the Airlift booth.
Dan’s bagged Porsche on a set of CCW Sp100 Hybrids
Turbocharged Chevy v8 stuffed into this Rx7 was parked in the CCW area outside.
Lexus IS with a fused GS Fsport bumper.
Wireworx Ek Civic is one of our favorite cars to see.
Much like Texas, I think 75% of the cars at this event were bagged.
This 67 Camaro was pretty wild. Restomods take some work to get right, fusing new and old is a challenge.
Brada Wheels made a trip down from Georgia also.
I personally liked this S2000 with the circuit garage over fenders.
Authentic had some of their cars parked across from the vendor area.
You can get a good idea how close the hotel rooms are to the actual event.
Michael Moore’s TSX
This Sr20 powered Cressida was put together really well.
Majority of the cars that were at the event, were put together really well. The Simply Clean crew did a great job selecting the approved cars. I can honestly say I did not see any cars that slipped through the cracks.
Charles Civic Si
Apparently this car was just finished the day before the event. I am sure we will see it at Wekfest in Miami.
John Thompson’s FR-S
Florida as always brought out their best this past weekend. I was really glad we made the trip down. And we will be making this event every year if possible. Thanks for looking.
