Southrnfresh Summer Showcase 2025 Coverage
Southrnfresh Summer Showcase was created to be exactly what it is. A simple come out and hang out for the afternoon amongst your peers for the day. While our spring event is not a full scale hardcore show, there are awards and some treat it as such. After Southrnfresh 4 we collaborated with another automotive group and had an event at Atlanta Motor Speedway for Soutnrfresh 4 and 5. While they were Southrnfresh events I never really felt that they were true Southrnfresh events being connected with someone else. We had a good turn out and the event was really enjoyable for most. But the second year for SF5 I felt like we lost our heart a little. So we parted ways and I tried to get back in at Jim R. Miller for SF6, and we were out of the rotation of the October dates we had. So we ended up at Coweta County Fairgrounds for SF6 and SF7. I really liked the layout of the venue, but being about 50 miles outside the city it became a chore to get some to make the trip.

Mentally SF10 was going to be the last, but we started to gain some more traction after the Covid break, so we have kept it rolling. This year I had planned to take a shot at a indoor show, but it did not work out this year. The idea for a second late summer show came up after the March event, mainly because there was not much going on after some of the early Summer events. I wanted to make it a super calm event and take advantage of the landscape and try and make the vehicles seen the best way possible. In an attempt to combat some of the heat we had a later start time of 4pm. Which I think worked out well for most people.

We also had a nice turnout of Skylines come out, oddly enough the only generation we were missing was a R35.

We had a really nice turnout from the OG Honda community, which was a late surprise. It was good to see so many of EG hatches in attendance. I made a call out to Honda owners for SF11 and since then they have been coming out in full force more and more every year.

Starting a second event for the first time is slightly stressful, because you never want to feel like you are asking too much of people to attend, but you want to provide a place for people to come and have a good time. The distance outside the city seemed to have deterred a few from attending. But I have learned to appreciate who makes the effort to attend and once the event gets its identity we will be able to grow it more. While I was putting the event together I started to read a few people making comments about how Southrnfresh events are for a specific type of build. It has never been that way, and it has always been open to everyone. And not coming to an event because there are too many imports versus domestics or european cars is only going to make it worse. Its hard to please everyone, but I can only do what I can and be sure that I give the ones that show up the best event I can.
There were plenty of familiar faces and many return vendors from the springs show in attendance. I cant thank you all enough for the continued support over the years. We look forward to growing the show over the next few years.
