Team BC Racing/NWP Spec V

Well my whole purpose for going to the Road Atlanta NASA Event @ Road Atlanta Sunday was to meet up with Joe Ippolito, and  Justin Prado.  And check out this VQ powered Time Trial Built Sentra Spec V equipped with a mildly built 260hp/250tq VQ35.  Matted to a SpecV 6 Spd Transmission with a long list of supporting mods.  At first glance the car may not seem like a great Time Trial choice.  But after seeing and hearing this car tear up and down Road Atlanta, and only be out timed by 2 Vipers and 1 GTR.

The Leader in the TTB pack driver of the Forged GTR was doing 1:38 laps followed by the pair of Vipers doing 1:39.   And than the Spec V putting out a 1:40 with a mild overeating issue.  Being the cars first time out that is very very impressive, and shows that the car has plenty of room to knock those seconds off.    The cars owners and drivers consist of a group of 4 backyard builders and elbow grease that make this all happen.  The day was cut short for the Spec V due to a Axle boot that gave way earlier in the day and just got worse and worse on the second to last run of the day for the TTB class.  And they had to call it a day a bit early, but managed to grab the Hoosier Contingency Award for the weekend!   They will be back at Road Atlanta in August and so will we, and get some action shots of it.   Id like to thank Joe and Justin for talking to me about the car, and inviting me out to the event!  And for taking the time out of their busy schedule!
