This year was Southrnfresh’s first time being able to cover Formula D from beyond the barriers! So here is Round 1 of Formula D Round 2 Coverage. through the eyes of Rick Lee. Like we said before this weekend was a blast, the whole Formula D and Road Atlanta staff really put together a very well organized event.

Overall we can definitely hear and see the V8 presence this year, it seems to be the choice of the champions. A lot of the import purist will not agree with the Ls1 swap in majority of the running field but it just makes sense in the end. But that does not mean that the high power 4 cylinder is a thing of the past, they were holding their own all the way till the last 8. Kyle Mohan in the snap crackle pop NEXEN Rx8 gave the crowd a real show up until he had motor problems, but much respect for driving it to the limits! But it was Dai Yoshihara that came home with the top podium. David McNamara claimed 2nd place, and Yoshioko brought home 3rd place.

Thanks to everyone that made the event possible, I hope we can get more motorsport events in Atlanta in the future!
