Welcome To Atlanta Coverage 2012 v.2

As promised KHRIS H. comes through with his photo set of Welcome To Atlanta @ Mainstream Performance, If you missed the 1st set of photos, check it out here.  It was a mix of photos from some I found posted on our FORUMS and around the net.

PHOTOS BY: KHRIS H

Start it off with the TRACK ONE S2K, almost forgot the car had the hood vents and other parts on it.  Not sure if I ever got a chance to look at the car from this angle all weekend.

This car was owned by a good friend of mine, Joe Dominguez.  It was sold a few months back, and sold again.  Not much has changed besides the valve cover paint, and wheels from the looks of it, hope its in good hands now.   Check it here.

Matt Stover’s mighty EK posted up..

Always ready to go it seems…

Our very own Rion Morse’s bagged E30 looking pretty as always..

I believe I had just arrived when Khris snapped this pic…

Kevin Lu arriving in his Spec R Silvia.

Never get tired of seeing Matt’s Miata.

A rear shot of Joe’s Type R inspired Rsx, hands down my favorite RSX in GA.

Armanda’s CRZ, from Florida.

Turbocharged NSX and a group of bros.

Kieran and James showing Justin were to park his Evo.  Another favorite of mine, love this car to death.

Anthony’s miata again.  I read on Anthony’s facebook page that on his way home back to Florida, he was pulled over for throwing sparks through a intersection…bold man.

Another clean EG hatch , that I do not remember seeing at all that day.

Matt Tucker’s Type R

I want to say this car is from Alabama…but I am probably wrong, anyone knows let us know!

Lucas’s Evo X

One of the many Unique Auto Squad cars that came down.  When I saw these guys rolling in, I greeted the owner.  And he quickly mentioned that they came down last year and enjoyed every bit of it, really happy to have these guys roll down 14 hours from NY-NJ for the weekend.

Another Unique Auto Squad EK.

and another, once again got to love the guts to drive such clean cars 14 hours down to GA.

The Unique Auto fleet

Another Ek that rolled down with Unique Auto from Virginia.

And another..

Himmat Rama’s newly acquired E30 sedan

Shit gets real when Garage Zero brings the squad out..

Garage Zero’s fleet again

I mentioned that this was my first time trying to coordinate reserved parking for certain cars up front.  So it was also my first time having to deal with someone who just refused to listen to directions when told.  The owner of this DA, for some reason did not want to follow instructions and park elsewhere for reasons unknown.  Not sure if he just thought I was being a asshole or what, but he eventually parked across the street.  And once he walked around, and saw me again apologized for being a hassle….so its all good, still had to call you out…:)

Posted about this car yesterday and how much I digged the setup, found the owner on Facebook,Qussah Dith.

Mother F’n Troy Hicks

All weekend I saw this car around, and I kept thinking or questioning if it was one of my friends Gabe’s old accord…sure was not.  Its a nice looking car nonetheless.

Forged Performance’s GTR workhorse

Alex Gallardo’s 350Z, another one of my personal favorites, makes around 670hp, gets tracked and abused like its supposed to, and still looks pretty in the parking lot.  Been trying to get some photo time with this car for a few months…Alex, whats up man?!?  lol

Charle’s SI, sporting his new OZ Futuras.  I always tell him its hard to break out of the CCW classics but the Futuras are just as classy as the CCWs are on the car.  Charle’s SI seems to be one of the top examples of clean FG civics.

Justin Butera’s bagged EK hatch again.

Troll Patrol

Brad rolling up fashionably late to the party in his STI.

Chris Dornon’s S2K again

Cj Allen’s EG bay from PG+K

IT got pretty packed out there, never got a good idea how many people showed up, until i looked at the photos.

Stepehen Burke’s STI, he is the white guy in the back….with the hat and shades…lol

KJ Drapeau’s highlighter S2k, which was another topic of the weekend.  Me personally am a fan of bright colors, so I can dig it.  If you are in the S2k community you know that this car has been through 2 color changes in the last year.  Check it out its previous setup HERE when we featured it when it was Phantom Blue, and the first time when it was black with the house of color lime green meisters HERE.

I did not get a chance to see much of the dynos that day, would have liked to know what the old Z put down.

Mike showing his “no homo” face…haha.  Mike has always been a well known guy in Atlanta, one of the first guys that I have ever seen drift before  waaay back in 2003-2005? I have the video to prove it of Mike doing work from way back when, when he owned his 1st gen miata, that he eventually flipped and got rid of, but as you can see he stayed with the Miatas with his NC.  If you want to see the video of mike being a drifter click HERE

PG+K about to ride out..

PG+K Moe Drennon , Knennan & CJ about to head out to the after festivities..

Close it out with Kevin Lu’s Silvia Spec R.

As I said before I would like to thank Mainstream Performance for being a great host once again.  And as always thank you all for coming out  and hanging out with us once while you all last weekend.

Special shout out to the out of towners! See you next year!
