Import Alliance 2013: End of Winter – Dallas,Texas

The Import Alliance tour has begun, and the first stop was Dallas, Texas. This is also the very first time Import Alliance has been to the state. So the turnout was small compared to the previous meets out in the Southeast. Last year Import Alliance Spring in Atlanta,Ga pulled 6,000+ people. Import Alliance has reached a whole new level, and turned the parking lot meet to an annual tradition.

Import Alliance may have missed out a lot on attendance because of the location being in Dallas rather than in Houston. But it was not all a bad thing, the Dallas location reached a little closer to the Midwest. One problem with Import Alliance in the past 2 years is the new venues it has had to find every year. Hopefully Dallas will remain a stop for the event so this event can grow into the numbers that IA is used to. But besides the numbers the feedback from the event that I have read seems to be very good, so hopefully that will open up the doors for next year!

Jake Reining’s GenesisCoupe. Little known fact about Jake’s Genesis, his car was one of the first cars featured on SF back in 2010, when it was white and pretty subtle compared to what it has become today. Its crazy to see what it has become, I had no idea it was the same car until SEMA and Jake’s name popped up on a site somewhere. I remember the email that Jake sent me telling me that the car was gonna be a SEMA booth car back in 2010 and he wanted to get a sticker from us to have on the car, really happy to see the car continue to transform.
