Asif’s Pandem S13

A few months ago I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a glimpse of Asif’s S13 at Caffeine and Octane.  I followed a few tags, and found Asif’s Instagram.  I realized that Asif has been around since the primetime of the Atlanta automotive scene, and has been quietly building his dream…

For me the primetime of the Atlanta scene was way back in the Import Atlanta days.  IA was the original forum and the epicenter of the automotive culture in Atlanta.  It is where I learned, argued, and went back and fourth with people like my life depended on it.

Once I realized what era Asif was from, it all made sense as to why the car was put together so well.  And why it just appeared without all the hype and constant reminder of what is “coming soon” .

It’s hard to stay off the internet when you are working so hard to put something together like this.  But this has been what the current generation is missing.  There is no need for the hype and the constant reminder that you are working on something.  We all have our close group of friends that we consult with about our cars.  Its what makes it fun and when its done you present your creation to the rest of the world.  When you expose everyone to what you are creating sometimes it obstructs your true vision.

Asif’s S13 is wearing the complete Version 3 Pandem Kit.  The House Of Kolor Apple Red paint is laid by Dom’s Customs in Warner Robins, Georgia.

The star of it all is the BBS LM wheels tucked nicely inside of the fenders by way of Airlift.

The high compression SR20 was built and fine tuned by the one and only Tiger Racing.

Asif has owned this car for many many years, and even sold the car at one point.  After trying his hand with some other cars, he set on a mission to get this car back and finally finish what was started.   This car has always been special to him after all these years.  I am sure he could have gotten another S13 and built it to look like this.  But that one car always stays with you, and every time you sit in it you are reminded of all the memories.  Its something that can not be replaced…
